How can we fix this stadium? Can someone explain why the lower tier can't rake down to the pitch? I know it would be shallow but isn't there a way to make it work? Safe standing and a capacity of 99000? Make every row according to height of fan? I don't know, but there must be some way to fix it. Or is it just a bulldoze job which we can't afford?

had the misfortune to travel past Tottenhams new stadium yesterday - looks like it is going to be a very good stadium.
the thought then hit me that i'll be dead before we can move from the cesspit.
how very depressing. cheers G&S for ruining football for me.

I think I've been in unison with you, well before we stepped into the new ground. But where we differ is the day out. What football enables me to do is meet up with mates I probably otherwise wouldn't often see. All summer I think I've spoken to my football mates once!

I hear you, PB and if I lived closer then I might be more inclined to go for the day out. I'm not spending 5-6 hours travelling on a Saturday to line the BERKS pockets.
I'll do a few aways this season to get my fix, very much doubt I will go anywhere near the OS though.
Maybe a cup game if it's against someone like Chelsea, Wall or the Ys.

I watched two games out there in 2010.
Philadelphia Union vs New York Red Bulls and New York Red Bulls vs New England Revolution.
Atmosphere was cringe and the football wasn't great. That said, if I ever find myself living in the US, because I have a love and affiliation with Philadelphia, Union would be my club.

PB... maybe it's changed a bit... I thought it was more than decent the atmosphere... loads of hispanics help make teh atmosphere... they don't stop chanting... I enjoyed and would deffo go again... Oh and Yankee Stadium.... what a magnificent beast that is.. they sure know how to build stadiums out there .

There's a fair distance between the pitch and some of the stands when Yankee Stadium is in 'soccer' configuration isn't there.
Looks great from behind the goals, but not so good on either side.
Not an issue?

It is a superb stadium though.
Most of the ones they've built in the last couple of decades have been very good.
The new Atlanta Falcons one looks the fucking dogs bollocks.

The Yankee Stadium is meant to be terrible for football. It looks absolutely awful.
If you like it there, Soldo, then you might enjoy the the Olympic Stadium!

Trunds... Yeah perhaps we should try and squeeze a running track in Yankee Stadium and then move a load of meccano seats over the track to TRY and be closer... our seats were superb... all with the rowdies in the bleachers... close to the action.. drums, beer (stella) being to be drunk whilst watching the game, chicken wings, big titted hispanic women dancing around watching Pirlo and David Villa do the stuff ... and not a pot of popcorn to be seen anywhere... it's how Football should be.... all for $30 a ticket
